A final farewell
The world is still reeling from the loss of Presley Gerber, who passed away on Sept. 20 at age 27. Six days later, his former girlfriend Cameron Rorrison took to Instagram to share a poignant tribute to the model, who was the son of Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber.
Writing on her Instagram Stories, Cameron confessed it was difficult to find the right words to honor him, but she wanted the world to remember his "wide open heart" and "inspiring compassion." She noted that Presley had a rare, pure humanity that made everyone he met feel truly seen and important—a quality she said she hasn't found anywhere else since they dated between 2018 and 2020. "He was an angel in this life and will be in the next," she wrote. "I hope you can feel the outpouring of love up there Pres."
The investigation continues
Presley was found dead inside a Los Angeles rehab facility. While the Santa Monica Police Department stated there is currently "no indication of foul play," they are investigating his death as a "suspected overdose."
An autopsy has been completed, but the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has deferred a final cause of death pending additional testing. According to documents obtained by TMZ, Presley’s body was cremated, and his ashes are currently at his family's home in Malibu.
A legacy of helping others
Presley had been remarkably open about his own struggles with addiction and mental health, often expressing a deep desire to help others on similar paths. On a 2023 episode of the Studio 22 podcast, he shared his mission, saying, "Whether I help one person or a hundred people get out of that place that I was in at one point in my life, that's all I need to do." He emphasized that he wanted to provide support without judgment to anyone struggling with negative impacts on their body or mind.
