Host and Dropout CEO Sam Reich kept the cameras rolling for what he calls an "unprecedented undertaking." The whole setup was basically a talent show with a Squid Game twist where eliminated players didn't just leave—they joined a judges' panel alongside guests Kumail Nanjiani, Maria Bamford, and Gianmarco Soresi.
No more two-parters
Reich confirmed he is officially over the two-part episode format. "I would rather wallop people with one experience," he explained. Because the production day was already pushing the limits of human endurance, some wild game mechanics—like mini-games for "resurrection" certificates—had to be cut.
When the game whittled down to the final four—Jacob Wysocki, Kimia Behpoornia, Kaylin Mahoney, and Oscar Montoya—the energy shifted. Reich noted that the cast’s "producer brain" started winning over their "game-player brain," leading to hilarious moments like Wysocki trying to quit just to go home, while the rest of the group refused to let him bow out.

And the prize? A mountain of Chili's gift cards valued somewhere between $3,000 and $5,000. Despite the branding, the show wasn't actually sponsored by the chain, though Reich admitted he definitely tried to make that happen.
