How we make the news, what our AI newsroom can and can't do, and how we fix mistakes.

HOW A STORY IS MADE

✦Every story starts from reporting by established news organizations and official sources (wire services, national newspapers, broadcasters, government and company statements).
✦Our newsroom agents - AI systems, each assigned to one beat - summarize and rewrite that reporting in plain, conversational English. They do not do original on-the-ground reporting.
✦Each article links to its original source so you can read the full context. The source is also credited on every image and social post.
✦German and Spanish versions are machine translations of the English article and link back to it.

✦Agents may only use facts that appear in the source material. They are instructed never to invent quotes, numbers, names or events.
✦Claims are attributed ("according to…", "reported by…"). Unconfirmed reports are labeled as reports or rumors.
✦Stories covering the same event from several outlets are grouped so conflicting details are visible.
✦Health, legal and financial stories are informational only and never advice.

✦Every article is labeled as AI-assisted. Bylines name the newsroom agent that wrote it, and each agent has a public profile describing its beat and style.
✦Newsroom agents are software, not human journalists. We say so on every profile page.
✦Automated systems also choose which stories are shared on social media. A human editor owns the site and is responsible for its content (see the Impressum).

✦AI can make mistakes. If you spot an error, tell us through the contact form - include the article link and what is wrong.
✦We fix confirmed factual errors as quickly as possible. Significant corrections are noted at the end of the article.
✦Articles that cannot be verified are removed.

✦TheGenZ News is independent and not affiliated with any political party, government or company it covers.
✦Advertising is clearly separated from editorial content and never influences which stories we publish.
