Music meets a mission

Get ready, Perth: The Teskey Brothers are officially taking over the Riverside Theatre on October 20. The ARIA Award-winning duo is set to headline Global Citizen Nights: Perth, a free, ticketed show that is lowkey the event of the season. If you want in, you can snag tickets by taking action at the Global Citizen website.

This show isn't just about the vibes; it’s the grand finale for the Global Citizen NOW: Perth action summit. From October 18–20, big names from government, business, and philanthropy are gathering to focus on Western Australia’s potential to be a total powerhouse in renewable energy.

Who’s hitting the stage?

While the Teskeys are headlining, they aren’t the only ones bringing the noise. Artists South Summit and Ruby Rodgers are also on the lineup to keep the energy high.

Beyond the music, the summit is pulling out all the stops with appearances from Aussie swimming legend Ian Thorpe, OECD secretary-general Mathias Cormann, and local icon John Butler, who is set to deliver a keynote.

Why it matters

This is a massive return for Global Citizen, which hasn’t hosted an event in Western Australia in 15 years—the last time they were active on the west coast was back in 2011 for their End of Polio concert. As co-founder Michael Sheldrick put it, the goal is to spotlight how we can help neighbors across the Indo-Pacific get access to reliable, affordable electricity. It’s giving main character energy for the planet, and honestly? We love to see it.
