Taylor Swift is officially doing the most again, and honestly? We love to see it. Her 2025 album, 'The Life Of A Showgirl,' just staged a massive comeback on the Australian charts, jumping from 23rd place all the way to No. 1 following the release of the new 'Encore' edition.
A total sweep
It’s giving absolute domination. The deluxe drop introduced us to four fresh tracks: “Patient Zero,” “Pink Clouding,” “Babylon,” and “Cleveland!” And because Swifties don’t play, the song “Patient Zero” actually snagged the No. 1 spot on the ARIA Singles Chart, making this a certified chart double. The rest of the new tracks aren't lagging either, with “Cleveland!” at No. 3, “Babylon” at No. 4, and “Pink Clouding” at No. 5.
Meanwhile, the album's lead single, “The Fate of Ophelia,” jumped back up to No. 10. According to chart compilers, this marks Swift's 69th top 10 hit in Australia. Real talk: the woman is making history. This is her second No. 1 single in Australia this year, following the success of “I Knew It, I Knew You” back in June.
The rest of the charts
While Taylor is busy living her best life at the top, other artists are making moves too. Australian singer Julia Jacklin debuted her new album 'The Gem' at No. 5, which is currently the week's best-selling vinyl. Nessa Barrett scored her first-ever ARIA chart entry at No. 7 with 'Tough Love,' and Tinashe hit the top 10 for the first time with her album 'Popular.' British rockers Nothing But Thieves also made a splash with 'Stray Dogs' debuting at No. 9.
Why it matters
Swift has now spent over 70 weeks at the top of the national albums survey throughout her career, dating back to 2010. She’s effectively proved that she’s living rent-free in the charts, and honestly, she just ate that.
