The math is mathing

It’s been over a decade since ANTI blessed our ears, and let’s be real: the Navy is lowkey starving. While Rihanna has been busy building an entire empire with Fenty Beauty, she finally dropped a crumb of hope during a TikTok Live on Wednesday (Oct. 7). When a fan asked exactly how many unreleased tracks she’s been gatekeeping in the vault, Rih didn’t just give us a number—she gave us a math equation.

She explained, “If there are 10 products in a vault, then I have at least 17 vaults.” Quick mental math check? That’s 170 songs just sitting there, living rent-free in her hard drive. Say less, Rih, we are ready for the drop.

Is the album actually coming?

Real talk: we’ve been burned before, but the plot thickens. Back in August, A$AP Rocky accidentally let it slip to Jason Lee that the mogul is back in the studio. “Yo, she in the studio right now,” he said, clearly stressed about potentially getting in trouble for the leak. “Yeah, I said it. Sorry, babe. Like, bro, she working.”

While we haven’t had a full studio album in ages, she did pop up on the Smurfs Movie soundtrack in 2025 with “Friend of Mine.” Plus, she graced the stage at Jay-Z’s Extra Innings show at Yankee Stadium this past July, proving she’s still got that main character energy.

Why it matters

After ten years of waiting, knowing there are 170 tracks waiting in the wings is basically the best news we’ve had all year. Whether she’s officially shifting the music landscape again or just teasing us, the vibes are high.
