A shocking tragedy unfolded in Morgan Hill this past weekend. Roy Anthony Lopez, 37, reportedly turned himself into Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose on Saturday morning after allegedly murdering his wife.

The chain of events

According to the Morgan Hill Police Department, Lopez arrived at the hospital around 9:20 a.m. and confessed to killing his wife. Hospital staff checked the vehicle parked outside and discovered the woman, who was gravely injured. Despite immediate emergency care, she was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Police later searched a home on the 1100 block of Vintage Lane in Morgan Hill, where they found three children, aged 14, 6, and 3, who had been left home alone. The children are now in the custody of the Santa Clara County Department of Family and Children’s Services.
