The comeback continues
Hilary Duff is absolutely eating this year, and she isn’t slowing down. Just when we thought her comeback couldn't get any more chaotic in the best way, she’s officially dropped her latest track, "CATastrophe," written for the upcoming The Cat in the Hat movie.
The vibes
This isn't just some random soundtrack filler. Duff teamed up with her husband, Matthew Koma, plus Madison Love and Brian Phillips to write a song that hits different. It’s an upbeat, car-ready pop anthem that explores that "my life is being rearranged without my permission" feeling—which, real talk, is a mood. The music video is pure main character energy, featuring Duff exploring oversized, whimsical worlds that look like they jumped straight out of a Seuss book.
Why it matters
This release is just the latest win in a massive year for Duff. After dropping Luck… Or Something—her first studio album in over a decade—and booking up her calendar with the Lucky Me tour through 2027, she is proving she never really left. Catch the star-studded The Cat in the Hat (starring Bill Hader) when it hits theaters and IMAX on Nov. 6. The official soundtrack drops a week before on Oct. 30.
