College football Week 7 is popping off, and if you're looking for main character energy, the late-night action in California is where it’s at. Fresno State is trekking down the coast to face off against their rivals, San Diego State, in a massive Pac-12 matchup.
The Breakdown
Fresno State is coming in as the road favorite with a 6.5-point spread. The Bulldogs are looking to bounce back after giving Boise State a serious run for their money last week, only falling short by a touchdown. They need this win to keep their momentum alive.
On the flip side, San Diego State is currently in their feelings after a rough 66-point loss to Oregon State. They’re sitting at 1-1 in conference play, so they’ve definitely still got a shot at making noise in the Pac-12 standings if they can pull off the upset at home. It’s giving redemption arc, but they’ve got a tough squad to beat.
How to Watch
Catch the game live tonight, Saturday, Oct. 17, at 10:30 p.m. ET. It’s airing on CBS Sports Network, and you can stream the action on CBSSports.com or through the CBS Sports app.
Why it matters
This game is a pivotal test for both teams. Fresno State is trying to prove they belong near the top, while the Aztecs are fighting to stay relevant in the conference race after a brutal defensive breakdown last week. No cap, this could decide who sets the tone for the rest of their season.
