The Vibe Shift

Forget staying out until 3 a.m. only to feel like a total zombie the next day. The latest trend hitting the UK seaside town of Felixstowe is "Coffee and Clubbing," and it’s giving major main character energy. Started by Vanessa Fullerton-Batten and her husband, DJ Ben Kay, these morning events are designed for people who want to dance to 90s classics without the dreaded post-club hangover.

Why Morning Ravers Are Obsessed

Hosted at the local coffee shop Cuppa, the events kick off at 9:00 a.m. and last for just an hour. It’s lowkey the perfect way to get your endorphins up without needing a recovery day. Fullerton-Batten notes that while many attendees are Gen X-ers in their 40s and 50s, the goal is for everyone to feel welcome regardless of age. "It only lasts for an hour, so it's a really good atmosphere and just great vibes," she explained.

For those who love to move, it’s a refreshing change from the typical gym routine. Fitness instructor Susannah Hinchey, who also runs "clubbercise" classes in the area, says there is scientific backing to the fun, as moving your body to music releases those essential happy hormones.

Coming to a Venue Near You

Think this might be a one-time thing? Think again. The organizers are looking to make this a regular monthly ritual and are already scoping out new spots for pop-ups, including local bakeries and restaurants. Real talk, if you're looking for a way to connect with your community and dance your heart out before your first afternoon meeting, this is it. W.

Why it matters

As nightlife habits evolve, these sober, daytime raves are proving that you don't need alcohol or late nights to enjoy the dancefloor. It’s a growing global movement—already huge in cities like Berlin and NYC—that prioritizes community connection and pure, unadulterated fun.
