The market is catching feelings

Real talk: the vibes in the crypto market are a bit off right now. As of Wednesday, US spot Bitcoin ETFs hit a rough patch, shedding about $262 million in a single day. This massive pivot wiped out the $176 million in inflows we saw the day prior, bringing the total net outflow for the week to $151 million.

Why the sudden exit?

It’s giving major price action turbulence. Bitcoin fell below the $82,000 mark following the latest US inflation report. At the time of this update, BTC is sitting at roughly $80,741—a 3.2% dip over the last 24 hours. Remember, this isn't financial advice, but the macro pressure is definitely being felt on-chain as investors pull their bags.

Not just Bitcoin

It’s not just the big guy taking an L. Ether ETFs dropped about $130 million on Wednesday alone, pushing their total weekly outflow to $190 million. Solana ETFs haven't had a break either, clocking in eight straight days of outflows, and Zcash funds also saw net negative numbers for the week.

The XRP W

XRP is lowkey carrying the team right now. While everything else is bleeding out, XRP ETFs actually bucked the trend, pulling in about $740,000 on Wednesday. It’s the only one of the five major categories tracked to stay positive this week.

Why it matters

When big money starts pulling out of spot ETFs, it usually signals that institutional traders are feeling shaky about the current macro environment. Keep your eyes on the data, stay risk-aware, and don't let the short-term volatility force your hand.
