The vibes for Bitcoin spot ETFs are still green, but the pace has definitely cooled off. Following a massive six-session run where the funds pulled in over $2.8 billion, the daily inflow numbers have started to dip. On Thursday, net inflows for US spot Bitcoin ETFs clocked in at $191 million. While that’s still positive, it marks a significant slowdown—an 81% drop compared to the $999 million high we saw on Monday, according to SoSoValue data.

Following the money

Even with the daily slowdown, the bigger picture for 2026 is starting to look much better. Year-to-date, net flows have climbed to roughly $787 million, which is a massive turnaround after being in a $5.5 billion deficit back in June. September is putting in work, having brought in $2.56 billion so far, building on the $3.52 billion the ETFs secured in August.

As usual, BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) is the main character here, grabbing about $163 million of Thursday’s inflow total. IBIT has been an absolute beast during this recent six-day streak, pulling in $1.35 billion—basically half of all the inflows combined.

The market pulse

Real talk: Bitcoin has been feeling the pressure, slipping from that $87,000 range. At the time of writing, it’s hanging out around $83,807. It’s down about 0.3% over the last 24 hours, but let’s not get too pressed—it’s still up roughly 8% over the last seven days.

Why it matters

While the inflows show that institutions are still stacking their bags, market moves aren't linear. This cooldown is a reminder that even when the trend is bullish, the market is gonna market. Always remember that this is never financial advice—do your own research before jumping into any positions.
