The tea is spilled
It is officially season 21 of Sister Wives, and the vibes are… messy. Kody Brown has wrapped up his "apology tour," but his ex Janelle Brown is not buying the redemption arc for a single second. During the October 4 premiere, Janelle got real about why she’s done playing nice after Kody publicly accused her of orchestrating a "backdoor deal" to cheat Meri Brown out of her share of the Coyote Pass property sale.
"He very publicly torpedoed my character," Janelle said. "So, f--k him."
Setting the record straight
Janelle insists the scheme was totally fake, pointing out that if she were actually going to pull off a hustle, she wouldn't be this obvious about it. According to Janelle, Kody had been the one making threats, telling her that since his name was on the title, he didn't technically have to give the others anything. He allegedly dangled the money over Meri’s head, hinting that he’d only pay up if she did what he wanted.
Janelle says she only pushed for the sale to get the process moving, but the accusation feels like a personal parting shot from Kody, especially since he and Robyn Brown have officially exited the series. "It felt very personal, like a final F-U," she noted. The worst part? Some of the family actually believed him.
Why it matters
This drama marks a major turning point for the long-running show as the family navigates life after Kody and Robyn’s departure. With the rest of the brood still in front of the cameras, the fallout from these accusations is shaping up to be the defining drama of the new season.
