The ultimate beauty crossover
Real talk: your M&S haul is about to get a major glow-up. Marks & Spencer just announced a new partnership with Sephora to bring their branded beauty zones into 100 of its UK stores starting next spring. They’ll also be dropping their products on the M&S website, making it easier than ever to grab your essentials.
Since relaunching in the UK back in 2023, Sephora has been lowkey crushing it with 18 stand-alone locations. By setting up shop inside M&S, they’re clearly trying to pivot their expansion strategy and get in front of a massive new audience. We’re talking about targeting the 24-36 demographic—which makes sense, given how much the brand already lives rent-free in our heads thanks to those influencer collaborations on TikTok and Instagram.
Why it matters
If you’ve noticed your local high street looking a little sparse after the downfall of department stores like Debenhams, this is a massive W for the beauty scene. Sephora’s vibe—that self-service model where you can actually swatch and test products yourself—is highkey what we want.
John Lyttle, the managing director of M&S’s fashion, home, and beauty division, said this move is all part of their wider £700m transformation plan. It’s giving “new era” for the retailer, which is actively modernizing to stay relevant. Sephora UK managing director Sarah Boyd says the goal is to redefine high street beauty by bringing that curated experience closer to where you actually live and hang out. Say less, I’m ready for the restock.
