A trip gone wrong
It’s giving major 'something is wrong' energy. Phoenix Phillips, a 24-year-old dad from the Baltimore area, traveled all the way to Cleveland to watch his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Browns. But what was supposed to be a fun road trip with a friend turned into a nightmare when he vanished.
According to the Cleveland Division of Police, Phoenix was last seen around 6 a.m. this past Friday in downtown Cleveland. The situation is lowkey terrifying—police have officially labeled the circumstances of his disappearance as 'concerning.'
The search is on
Phoenix, who is a father to a 2-year-old boy, got separated from the friend he was traveling with at some point after the Thursday night game. Sgt. Freddy Diaz of the Cleveland police confirmed that investigators are currently scouring the area where he was last seen, pulling surveillance footage and following up on every lead they can find to figure out what happened.
His family has already traveled to Cleveland to help with the search. Sylvia Colon, co-founder of the organization Cleveland Missing, is working directly with the family to provide support, help distribute fliers, and keep a line of communication open with law enforcement.
Phoenix is described as being 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighing about 170 pounds, with blue eyes. When he was last seen, he was wearing a gray hoodie, beige pants, and white tennis shoes. If you have any info, real talk, hit up the Cleveland police immediately.
Why it matters
