It is officially hockey heaven. Today, Tuesday, Oct. 14, marks the fourth edition of the NHL’s Frozen Frenzy, where all 32 teams are in action with staggered start times. Starting at 6 p.m. ET with Devils vs. Red Wings and running through a midnight finish, ESPN2 is bringing the whip-around coverage to keep you locked in. ## The Bruins-Sharks Finale The main character energy of the night is definitely the 11 p.m. ET finale between the Boston Bruins and the San Jose Sharks. Boston (4-2-0) kicks off their California road trip tonight, and they are bringing reinforcements. Star defenseman Charlie McAvoy is back in the lineup for his first game this season after serving a six-game suspension. It is a massive W for the B's power-play unit. Expect Jeremy Swayman in the net; he is currently sitting on 136 career wins and is hunting for No. 137, which would put him solo eighth in Bruins history. Meanwhile, David Pastrnak is one goal away from taking sole possession of fourth place on the team’s all-time goals list. ## Sharks Looking to Bite San Jose (3-2-0) is highkey chaotic, having pushed three of their first five games to overtime. Their young superstar Macklin Celebrini is back from an injury and continues to be the engine of the offense, having factored into nearly half of the team’s goals since last season. The Sharks swept Boston in their 2025-26 series, so they definitely have the momentum to make this a game. ## Why it matters Whether you are chasing the +2000 odds on Celebrini for most shots on goal or just tuning in for the non-stop hockey, tonight is the perfect chance to see the entire league flex its depth. With the SportsLine Projection Model calling the Bruins-Sharks matchup a 3.3-all draw, this one is shaping up to be a total nail-biter.
