The injury report is getting scary

Real talk: NFL Week 4 was a straight-up disaster for player health. We are seeing some of the league’s biggest names heading to the locker room early, and the vibes are off for a lot of contending squads.

The stars hit the sidelines

It’s giving major panic mode for a few fanbases. In Baltimore, Lamar Jackson had to exit at halftime after an ankle injury against the Titans. Meanwhile, the Eagles lost Saquon Barkley early on with a hamstring issue during their matchup with the Rams.

Down in Cincinnati, the Bengals are going through it. Ja’Marr Chase suffered a concussion, and Tee Higgins is dealing with an adductor injury. The Broncos also took a massive L with Patrick Surtain, the 2024 NFL defensive player of the year, going down with an ankle injury. To top it off, the Commanders’ QB situation got even worse in London when Marcus Mariota suffered a knee injury against the Colts.

Why it matters

With key starters missing action, the power rankings are getting messy. Teams are forced to rely on depth, and for franchises already on the bubble, these injuries could be the difference between making the playoffs or ending the season early. Say less—the next few weeks are going to be a wild test of which teams actually have the depth to survive.
