As Kennedy noted, "the president doesn't take orders from me, he barely takes suggestions," but he’s planning to keep the pressure on.
The ad controversy
Kennedy also clocked the recent government-funded ad campaign featuring the president, and he’s not a fan. He’s calling out the use of taxpayer dollars for what feels like personal promo, doubling down on his stance that politicians shouldn't spend public money on ads for themselves. He even threw in a hot take on the Kennedy Center naming controversy, suggesting a hard rule: no naming buildings after politicians while they’re still alive.

With midterms on the horizon, the GOP is feeling the heat. When high gas prices and international conflicts start hitting people's bank accounts, the vibes are off for voters.
