Mom of the year?

Jessica Biel is officially entering her stunt-driver era, and honestly? We love to see it. The 44-year-old actress told E! News that her latest role in Matchbox the Movie required her to pick up some serious driving skills. And while she’s not exactly drifting into the school drop-off lane, she’s definitely feeling the main character energy these new talents have brought to her life.

She admits that her sons, 11-year-old Silas and 6-year-old Phineas, think she’s lowkey iconic now that she’s got these tricks up her sleeve. "It’s pretty cool to have the skills," Biel shared, adding that she’s keeping them in her back pocket for a legendary party trick later on. She joked that while she isn't "ripping donuts" at school pick-up just yet, she’s not ruling it out if someone asks!

Behind the scenes

It sounds like Matchbox was a total vibe shift for the whole cast. Her costar John Cena had a heavy lifting moment of his own—literally. He had to face his fear of heights to pull off a bridge-running stunt involving a helicopter.

Costar Teyonah Parris shared how the rest of the crew, along with Cena’s wife Shay Shariatzadeh, stood by as a group of friends just to cheer him on. "We were just there, hanging out, watching as a group of friends to cheer him on because we knew this was a big deal for him," Parris said. When he finally nailed the stunt, the whole crew was "freaking excited." Say less, that’s exactly the supportive energy we need on set.

Why it matters

Beyond just the adorable "cool mom" flex, it’s a sweet reminder that even A-list stars are out here pushing their own limits and finding ways to bond with their families through their work. Plus, it’s a total W for the Matchbox team for keeping the vibes high while filming those intense action sequences.
