The Philly Problem
The vibes are strictly off in Philadelphia this week. Jalen Hurts is officially out for the Week 6 matchup against the Carolina Panthers, and it is a major L for fantasy managers. Tanner McKee is stepping in to run the offense behind a makeshift O-line. With Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith also nursing hamstring issues, the Eagles' implied total has cratered to 17.75. Real talk: unless you have Dallas Goedert—who remains a top-10 tight end—you should probably bench your Eagles. If you are desperate for a play, Dameon Pierce is the next man up if Barkley sits, while Dontayvion Wicks is a high-risk, low-reward option if Smith is out. The Panthers defense has lowkey become a solid start this week.
Around the League
- Chicago Bears: It is the D'Andre Swift and Roschon Johnson show. Swift is a must-start RB1, but Johnson is only a low-end flex.
- Kansas City Chiefs: Rashee Rice is still fighting a hamstring injury. We have him as a high-end WR3, but if he is out, Xavier Worthy moves up to a borderline WR2.
- Pittsburgh Steelers: Jaylen Warren is officially the lead dog here. We are projecting 17 touches for Warren, keeping him as a top-12 RB, while Jaylen Dowdle is a decent flex play.
- Baltimore Ravens: Jackson is the big question mark. We are currently ranking Tyler Huntley as the starter; keep an eye on Friday's status updates before you lock in your lineup.
- Tennessee Titans: Tony Pollard is an RB2, but his stock goes way up if Tyjae Spears remains sidelined with his knee issue.
Why it matters
Week 6 is one of the toughest bye weeks of the season, and injuries are making it nearly impossible to field a clean squad. Managing your flex spots and monitoring practice reports on Friday is the only way to avoid a total collapse in your matchup.
