But according to a new report from Pirate Wires, his sudden media takeover might not have been as organic as it seemed. The report claims Coxon worked with DEY. Ideas + Influence, a PR firm known for representing AI "doomers" and critics.
Even though Fox News anchor Bret Baier point-blank asked Coxon if he had help from any third parties during his media blitz, the extent of his coordination is only coming to light now. It turns out Nate Soares, president of the Machine Intelligence Research Institute, claims he actually introduced Coxon to the firm after the post went viral.

They also advise the Machine Intelligence Research Institute and Stanford’s Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence. Elon Musk weighed in on the situation via X, calling the whole ordeal a potential "psy op" that was prepped long before the spark.
