Sometimes the universe just decides to drop a massive W. For one parent visiting a beach in Los Angeles, a casual afternoon with their sister and three-year-old son turned into an absolute vibe shift thanks to two very kind helicopter pilots.
The parent, who lives in Australia, was catching up with their sister who lives in Ukraine. They had spent five years apart, so the beach trip was already high-key emotional. During the conversation, the parent reflected on how having a son has changed their perspective on men. They noted that while they used to be wary of construction workers, they now see them letting their son play with radios or beeping tractors to get a laugh. It’s giving wholesome energy.

Just as they were sharing this observation, a coastguard helicopter buzzed overhead. Since the toddler is obsessed with helicopters, the group did the most iconic thing ever and started waving like crazy.
Most pilots would just keep it moving, but this crew decided to be legends. They suddenly looped around and flew super low—almost like they were about to touch down—circling the group twice. The two pilots inside were waving and mouthing "Hi!" to the boy, leaving the entire beach in awe. Other beachgoers were filming, the sister was sobbing, and the three-year-old was living his best life.
