The dance world’s favorite soccer tournament is officially back for its sixth year on October 8 in Los Angeles, and the vibes are already high. Taking place at Evolve Soccer Los Angeles, this 21+ event is serving main character energy, bringing together music industry titans for a day of footie, charity, and absolute bangers.
Who's hitting the pitch?
Eight teams are set to compete, featuring staff members from powerhouses like Beatport, Red Light Management, Helix Records, and Too Lost. It’s not just for the clout though; it’s for a good cause. Since it kicked off in 2019, the tournament has raised over $80,000 for charity. The winning team even gets to pick which charity receives this year's donation. Last year, the Capitol Records squad totally ate and took home the trophy.
More than just soccer
If you aren’t there for the athletic skills, the music lineup is absolute fire. Expect DJ sets from Ardalan, Life On Planets, Juos, Mia Luna, and Papa Lu. Plus, the halftime show is being presented by Baile World and will feature La Goony Chonga and Cquestt. For the first time ever, the event is also expanding into the digital realm with an e-sports soccer tournament in partnership with Red Bull Wings Cup.
"I think after the World Cup people are itching for some more footie," says co-founder Alastair Duncan.
