The situation

A 36-year-old Baltimore County Fire Department paramedic is headed to prison after a truly vile betrayal of his colleagues. Christopher Carroll has been sentenced to 25 years behind bars after pleading guilty to three counts of causing the ingestion of bodily fluids.

The real tea

Carroll, who served on the department’s quick response team, admitted he wanted to be some kind of "porn star" and began uploading graphic videos to a paid adult site in late 2025. Between September and December of that year, he recorded at least 64 videos—many inside the Towson headquarters and a Pikesville fire station—where he urinated into ice machines, masturbated into shared coffee creamer, and even deposited bodily fluids on a supervisor's keyboard and prepared meals. He notoriously captioned one video of him urinating into an ice maker with, "I’m just trying to make a slushie."

The fallout

When the department caught on, it was lowkey a massive hazmat nightmare. Officials had to scrub down multiple stations and vehicles, and the ice machine had to be completely replaced. Carroll claimed he was "ashamed" during his sentencing, but the impact on his coworkers—people who trusted him—was immense. One anonymous victim stated that Carroll "preyed on the very people who trust him most."

Why it matters

This wasn't just a gross prank; it was a total violation of public safety and professional integrity. Carroll was tasked with helping people in mental health or addiction crises, yet he was secretly filming his coworkers for $7-a-pop videos. Beyond the firehouse, investigators are looking into other incidents, including an alleged incident where he contaminated a fragrance dispenser at a doctor's office. This is highkey a massive L for anyone in the emergency services community who put their faith in a teammate who was only looking for clout.
