The Dream are living the dream

The Atlanta Dream are officially moving on. In a massive WNBA playoff performance, the fourth-seeded Dream took down the Washington Mystics 93-75 on Wednesday, securing a clean sweep of the first-round series.

Allisha Gray absolutely ate, dropping a team-high 22 points and snagging four steals. Jordin Canada was the definition of main character energy, finishing with 19 points, 11 assists, seven rebounds, and three steals. Her playmaking was elite, and the team’s ability to convert on Washington's 19 turnovers—turning them into 23 points—was the ultimate W.

A physical battle

The game was a grind. We’re talking 53 total personal fouls, with Rhyne Howard eventually fouling out. Despite the messiness, the Dream stayed focused. They hit 20 of 22 free throws and shot 40.6% from deep. Even when the Mystics cut the lead to three in the fourth quarter, the Dream responded with a massive 13-0 run to shut the door for good. Sonia Citron led the Mystics with 25 points, but it wasn't enough to hold off the Atlanta offense.

Why it matters

This victory is historic for the squad—it’s their first trip to the semi-finals since 2018. They’re now locked in to face the eighth-seeded New York Liberty. The series kicks off this Sunday, and honestly, the vibes are immaculate as they head into the next round. Say less, we’ll be watching.
