The lineup is finally here
It’s official: the nominations for the 2026 HEAT Latin Music Awards (formerly known as Premios Heat) have dropped, and honestly, the vibes are immaculate. Our queen Karol G is officially in her main character era, leading the pack with a massive 10 nominations. She’s up for Best Female Artist, Best Urban Artist, and Album of the Year for Tropicoqueta, plus a shoutout for Best Viral Song with "Bby WOW."
She’s followed closely by Bad Bunny with nine nods, while icons like Shakira and Carlos Rivera are also holding it down with seven nominations each. Real talk, the competition is absolutely stacked this year.
Moving to Mexico
This year is a total pivot for the awards show. Rebranded as the "HEAT Latin Music Awards al Estilo Jalisco," the ceremony is moving to Mexico for the very first time in partnership with the government of Jalisco and the municipality of Puerto Vallarta. Diana Montes, the general director of the awards, shared that Jalisco isn't just a venue, but a "home" to help celebrate a decade of Latin American music history.

The festivities are going down during HEAT Week, which runs from October 31 to November 5. The actual ceremony takes place on November 5 at the Puerto Vallarta International Convention Center.
