The numbers are printing
Real talk: the institutional bags are getting heavy. US spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) just posted their biggest week of 2026, pulling in a massive $2.39 billion, according to data from SoSoValue. Friday alone saw a $134.5 million boost, helping the funds claw back from a deep $5.55 billion deficit earlier this summer. We are now sitting at roughly $926 million in net inflows for the year-to-date.
The vibes check
It’s giving major green candles energy. This was the strongest weekly performance since way back in October 2025, when the market saw $2.71 billion roll in. However, the momentum did slow down slightly as the week went on. After a massive Monday that saw inflows hit nearly $1 billion, the daily pace cooled off as Bitcoin price action took a breather, pulling back from above $87,100.
As of right now, Bitcoin is trading around $83,116, which is a slight 1.6% dip on the day but still holding a 1.7% gain for the week. The market sentiment is definitely feeling the heat—the Crypto Fear & Greed Index is sitting at 74, firmly in "Greed" territory.
The ripple effect
It wasn't just Bitcoin getting the love. The broader ecosystem is looking solid:
- Ether ETFs: These turned their performance around with about $690 million in inflows, totally reversing the $140 million in outflows they saw the week before.
- XRP ETFs: These also stacked up, pulling in roughly $76 million.
Why it matters
Seeing institutional capital pile into ETFs at this scale is a massive signal, but remember: this is not financial advice. Markets are volatile, and just because the charts look juicy right now doesn't mean you should go full degen. Keep your head on straight, do your own research, and stay risk-aware.
